How Goodcall works, in plain answers.

Pricing, billing, phone numbers and compliance. If you're asking how to change what your agent says or does, ask Gabi inside the app instead. That's what it's for.

Agents, teams, and connected tools

What is a Goodcall number?

A Goodcall number connects your AI phone agent to real callers. Choose an available local US number, then publish it on your website, Google Business Profile, and social profiles, or forward your existing business line to it.

Can staff answer before the agent?

Yes. Your carrier's conditional call forwarding can send busy or unanswered calls to your Goodcall number. Forward every call if you want the agent to answer first. Your carrier controls the ring time; Google Voice and Ooma support forwarding every call, rather than an unanswered-call fallback.

Can I change what my agent says?

You control its greeting, instructions, questions, and escalation contacts. Tell Gabi what to change, test the result on practice calls, and publish when you are ready. In the console, workers handle jobs such as collecting a lead, answering from your business information, or booking on Google Calendar.

What happens when the agent cannot help?

Configure an escalation contact so the agent can transfer the caller to a person. It retries busy lines and can try the next contact when nobody answers, up to three contacts. You can also configure a worker to collect the caller's details and notify your team. Review unfamiliar requests in the call record and decide what to change before publishing.

What is the difference between a team member and a directory contact?

Team members can sign in to your account. Their role and per-agent access determine what they can see and change. Directory contacts are the people or phone numbers your agent can transfer a call to; adding a directory contact does not grant access to your account.

How many team members and directory contacts do I get?

Directory contacts are unlimited on every plan: add as many transfer numbers as you need. Team members are limited by plan: 1 on Starter, 5 on Growth and 10 on Scale. Enterprise goes higher.

Can my team or clients see an agent's performance?

Invite them as team members and choose their role and per-agent access. This lets an agency give a client access to the appropriate agent without sharing every agent in the account.

Can I use Goodcall at more than one location?

You can create separate agents for different locations, with their own business information and phone setup. Choose a plan for the customers each agent serves; contact sales for several locations, connected systems, or enterprise volume pricing.

Can I connect a CRM or other business tools?

GC4 has connections for Google Calendar, Google Sheets, and HighLevel. Other systems require a configured API tool or MCP server. Zapier is an integration for existing Goodcall GC3 agents; it is separate from native GC4 integrations. See the Zapier integration page for the legacy workflow.

How do I help callers feel comfortable with an AI?

Tell callers they are speaking with an AI assistant, use a clear greeting, and hear the voice on practice calls before putting it on your line. Set up a human escalation contact for requests your agent cannot handle.

Pricing

How much does Goodcall cost?

Starter is $79 a month for 100 customers, Growth is $129 a month for 500 customers, Scale is $299 a month for 2,000 customers. Every plan is month to month and includes a local phone number. Bigger teams can talk to us about Enterprise volume pricing.

Do you charge by the minute?

No. We never meter minutes, calls or tokens. You pay per unique customer: the number of different people your agent helped this month. A thirty-second call and a nine-minute booking cost the same.

What counts as a unique customer?

One phone number, once a month. The same person calling five times in a month is one customer. Spam and wrong numbers don't count.

Is my plan price the most I'll pay?

Your plan price covers its customers. If you go over, each extra customer bills at your plan's own rate: 79¢ on Starter, 26¢ on Growth, 15¢ on Scale. There's no penalty rate, and no charge for minutes.

Does the price include the phone number and the AI?

Yes. One price covers your number, the calls it answers and the AI behind it. There's no separate phone bill from us.

I saw a different price somewhere else. Which one is right?

The prices on our pricing page are current, starting at $79 a month. Older prices like $66 a month were annual plans on our previous platform and aren't offered now.

Do test calls count toward my customers?

No. Calls you make to test your agent use AI usage, not customers. Each plan includes test runs, and you can top up $5 at a time.

Is there an annual plan?

Not right now. Every plan bills monthly.

Trial and billing

Is there a free trial?

You get a free demo agent instead. Build it, test it and hear it answer at no cost. You only start paying when you add a phone number and pick a plan.

When am I charged?

When you add a phone number, then monthly on that date. If you upgrade, the new plan starts right away and you're charged the prorated difference.

Is there a contract?

No. Every plan is month to month with no setup fee and no minimum term. You can cancel or downgrade any time from the Billing page in the app. Your agent and its setup stay as a free demo agent; you only give up the phone number.

Can I pause my plan for a slow season?

There's no pause, and no price below $79 a month. Instead, downgrade to the free demo agent: your agent keeps its whole setup, but gives up its phone number. When you come back, you pick a plan again and get a new number. Your callers keep dialing your own business number, but point your carrier's forwarding at the new Goodcall number when you're back; anyone who dials your Goodcall number directly will need the new one.

My payment failed or I was charged twice. What now?

Don't try again yet. Email support@goodcall.ai and we'll sort out the charge and your number.

I have an older Goodcall account. Am I paying twice?

If you moved from our previous platform, email support@goodcall.ai and we'll check that only one subscription is active.

Phone numbers

I published my agent. Is it answering my calls now?

Not yet. Publishing makes your setup live for test calls in the app. Callers can reach it only once your agent has a phone number: pick one in the app, which takes about two minutes, then either forward your existing line to it or put the new number on your website and listings.

Will my customers see a different number?

No. With forwarding, customers keep dialing your own business number and never see the Goodcall number. When you call them back, you call from your own phone as you always have. Only if you publish the Goodcall number directly do customers dial it.

Does forwarding change or risk my existing line? Can I undo it?

Your number stays with your carrier and keeps working as before. Forwarding is a setting on your line, not a transfer, and you can turn it off any time with your carrier's stop code (Verizon *73; AT&T #21# for every call or ##61# for unanswered calls) or in your provider's app. Whether forwarded minutes cost extra depends on your carrier and plan. If your line ever seems dead after setting it up, turn forwarding off with that code and contact support.

Can I keep my existing business number?

Yes. Keep your number with your current carrier and forward its calls to your Goodcall number. Your customers keep dialing the number they already know.

Can I port my number to Goodcall?

Not yourself yet. Forwarding gives you the same result today without moving your number. If you have a special case, contact support.

What order should I set things up in?

Get your Goodcall number, call it yourself to test your agent, then turn on forwarding from your existing number. Or publish the new number on your website and listings instead.

Should every call go to the agent, or only the ones I miss?

Your choice. "Ring my phone first" sends only unanswered calls to your agent, so it catches what you miss. "Send every call" has your agent answer everything. The app walks you through both for your carrier.

How do I forward on Verizon, UScellular or Xfinity Mobile?

Dial *71 then your Goodcall number to forward only unanswered calls, or *72 then your Goodcall number to forward every call. Dial *73 to turn forwarding off.

How do I forward on AT&T, T-Mobile, Mint, Cricket, Metro or Boost?

To forward every call on an iPhone, open Settings, Phone, Call Forwarding. For unanswered calls only, dial **61*, your Goodcall number, then #. Dial ##61# to turn it off. On Android, open the Phone app, then Settings, Calls, Call forwarding, and choose Always forward or When unanswered.

How do I forward from RingCentral, Grasshopper, Vonage, Comcast, Spectrum or Cox?

These are set in your provider's online portal, under call forwarding or call handling rules. Comcast Business, Spectrum Business and Cox Business also accept *72 then your Goodcall number to forward every call, and *73 to stop. The app has step-by-step instructions for each one.

Can I forward from Google Voice or Ooma?

Yes, but only every call. They send unanswered calls to their own voicemail, so "ring my phone first" doesn't work with them.

My provider isn't listed. What do I do?

Look for "call forwarding" in your provider's settings or help pages and forward to your Goodcall number. If you're stuck, contact support and we'll help.

Can my Goodcall number send and receive texts?

It can send texts. Your agent can text a caller a confirmation or a link. It can't receive replies yet.

Do you offer toll-free, Canadian or international numbers?

Not yet. Goodcall numbers are local US numbers today.

HIPAA and security

Is Goodcall HIPAA compliant?

Yes. To use Goodcall with protected health information, choose the Scale plan or Enterprise and sign our Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before your agent takes calls that involve patient information.

Will you sign a BAA?

Yes, on the Scale plan ($299 a month) and on Enterprise. We have a standard Business Associate Agreement ready to sign. If you need to use your own form, send it to us and we'll review it.

Are calls recorded?

Yes. Every call is recorded and transcribed so you can review it in the app. How long you can look back depends on your plan.

Do callers know they're talking to an AI?

Yes. Callers are told they're speaking with an AI assistant.
